Call for volunteers

SapfoFest would not have be taking place without our community and volunteers. We would like to thank everyone for organizing, volunteering and sharing experiences and ideas with our queer community.
Learning from previous experiences we are trying to make volunteering at SapfoFest - an enriching experience for us all! Festival and community volunteers are invited to contribute to development of the programme and atmosphere of the festival! Interested? Areas to contribute

  • COMMUNICATIONS: THAT SAPFOFEST WOULD LOOK & SOUND GOOD (photography, social media stuff, etc.)
  • LOGISTICS: THAT ALL THINGS WORK HOW THEY SHOULD!
    • Preparation & decoration of the Festival space.
    • Help in the kitchen: the most delicious and ethical vegan meals ever!
    • Equipment, technical and other connections.
    • Hygiene, health & safety enviroment during the festival!
  • TRANSPORT: THAT WE ALL ARRIVE IN SAPFO SPACE!

Call for contributions

All SapfoFest friends and allies are invited to contribute to this year’s festival programme and atmosphere.

If you would like lead a workshop, put on a performance or exhibition, maybe play some music? Get in touch with us on Facebook or over e-mail sapfofest@gmail.com before 2nd July 2019 with the following info about your proposed activity:

  • Title of the activity. What type of activity is it? (lecture, discussion, workshop, exhibition, performance, etc);
  • Description of activity. A brief 3-5 lines description of your activity, which will be published in the Festival programme and website;
  • Time needed for the activity (we normally allocate a 1 or 1.5-hour slot for a single activity);
  • Preferred day and/or time (festival starts on Friday evening through Sunday lunchtime, main activities will be taking place on Saturday 3rd August);
  • Do you need any special equipment ( sound system, office supplies, etc.) or an interpreter?;
  • Your name(s) (which we will shared on SapfoFest website along with the activity description).

Contribution may be related, but not limited to: gender–related issues and feminist perspectives; environment and animal-rights perspectives; sexual rights related perspectives; non-normative relationship perspectives; social justice; etc. etc. etc.
